Helmi is a quite famous brand in Greece for women’s fashion and accessories. It has a number of women's fashion retail stores around Greece. It represents the essence of the urban culture, while, at the same time, it aims to state one's right to be different. It is inspired by the heartbeat of the young, restless generation that demands to declare its controversy to the mainstream. They did not have an e-shop and they trusted our company and expertise to create one.

The objective

Helmi brand wanted us to create a state of the art e-shop using cutting edge technologies .They wanted an easy to use, attractive design that will reflect on their brand name and unique style. We decided to use NopCommerce 2.8 to create the eshop as our shopping cart of choice. NopCommerce has all the features required for the eshop’s catalog management, back-end administration needs, usability and user experience. They also needed their eshop in two languages (Greek, English) which was another factor for us to use NopCommerce since it has an excellent support for multilingual eshops.

The new e-shop should also fulfill a number of goals: drive targeted traffic, generate leads, promote the Helmi brand, and grow online sales. At the same time, it should also improve the user experience and enhance customer communications.

The first thing about promoting your fashion business online is creating a remarkable design. We had various meetings with the client in order to know better what his requirements are and what the brands represents. We created a design that fit our customers’ specific requirements. 

Eshop’s Development challanges

Create a custom registration form

• Every potential customer could register as a retail or wholesale customer

Create a new Payments Plugin that would leverage VivaPayments payment gateway

• Eshop’s customers could pay with the credit card of their choice from all over the world in a secure way using a new secure greek payment gateway.

Customers from different roles would see different information and price regarding a specific product.

Implemented custom functionality in product page

• If a customer selects a color for a certain product the size options would appears only with stock. If the customer selects a size, the colors options would be only the ones in stock

Integrate with client’s ERP system

• We implemented login authentication with account from ERP
• We integrated the customer addresses and information from the ERP
• We integrated the products data and information from the ERP
• We implemented the synchronous customer data from ERP
• We implemented the synchronous product data from ERP
• Orders placed in the eshop are passed  to the ERP

Customize checkout process

• We implemented various customizations in the checkout page

Advanced shipping options

• We needed to develop more complex shipping scenarios that would incorporate the various parts of Greece and Europe including a more complex calculation logic regarding the items shipped to a number of destinations and the respective shipping discounts.
